Safety Devices Pilot Completed

Bogotá D.C., April 8, 2020. The National Tax and Customs Directorate (DIAN) informs customs users that the pilot test period for electronic security devices will expire on May 15.

Consequently, starting from that date, the national implementation phase for electronic security devices will begin, covering all containerized cargo leaving maritime ports toward inland customs offices under the customs transit and multimodal transport modalities.

Currently, four companies have been authorized by DIAN to operate electronic cargo security devices. These companies are:

JM TRACKING S.A.S.
SEC SEL S.A.S.
COLTRACK S.A.S.
PROTEKTO LTDA

DIAN encourages the customs community to begin their implementation process now, in order to adjust their operations and be fully prepared for the start of the national implementation phase.
